Shopify Navigation Menu Disappeared? Here’s Where It Moved

If your Shopify navigation suddenly disappeared, you’re not alone. Many merchants recently noticed the “Navigation” section missing from their Online Store settings — and it’s causing confusion. Don’t worry, nothing’s broken or deleted. Shopify just moved it.

Shopify has quietly relocated the Navigation settings that used to live under Online Store → Navigation. You’ll now find them inside the new Content section, under Menus. This is where your Main Menu, Footer Menu, and even Customer Account Menu can now be accessed and edited just like before.

To get there, open your Shopify admin and click Content → Menus. Everything looks familiar — you can still drag, reorder, and link to pages, collections, or products. It’s the same functionality, just in a new location. Shopify likely made this change to streamline “content management,” grouping menus with Meta Objects and Files.

If you’re new to Shopify or setting up your store from scratch, this might actually simplify things. All your key visual content and structure tools — including menus, images, and meta objects — now live together. But yes, the move has confused many experienced users who expect to find navigation inside “Online Store.”
